Fighting School Absenteeism

By Okolo Chioma | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

One of the hidden causes of school absenteeism among girls is the inability to access safe menstrual products. Many girls stay home during their periods because they lack affordable sanitary pads or fear embarrassment at school.

Through this project, we are addressing this challenge directly. By training girls to make reusable sanitary pads and providing menstrual health education, we are helping them remain in school consistently and confidently.

Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty. When girls attend school regularly, they are more likely to achieve academic success, develop leadership skills, and build brighter futures.

Our goal is to reach 3,500 girls with practical solutions that reduce absenteeism and promote educational continuity. Every workshop and reusable pad kit contributes to keeping girls in the classroom where they belong.

Your donation helps fund training materials, educational sessions, and reusable pad supplies. Together, we can ensure that menstruation never stands between a girl and her education.

Thank you for supporting girls' education and empowerment.

Best wishes,
Empower Future Initiative Team
