Happy New Year Friends of FCDE,
2015 is looking to be a great year for our organization and the work we do in East Africa. As the year initiates, we have strong plans for expanding the service area in which we work, significantly increasing the organizations that we serve and, of course most importantly, increasing the impact we have on thousands of East Africans who consistently face very challenging conditions.
Our new site in Rukungiri will take on its first group of 8-10 local Ugandan non-profit organizations early this year. Each group of community based organizations will go through a two year training process with our organization. The training, one-on-one consulting, access to a computer lab and seed funding all contribute to making these organizations stronger more efficient providers of services for their communities.
With these new partners and continued support for our existing partners we look to increase our beneficiaries by over 25% and to inject over $125,000 of funds into the communities we serve.
