Two months in new community!

We have now been working for two months in our new community of Chiriza. Attendance so far varies depending on the weather and if children need to work or take care of their siblings while their parent(s) are away from the home. On average, we are seeing 80-120 children each day at the school which is very impressive.

We have seen a lot of hard work by everyone to prepare classes for the children and organize the new school and set a routine each day. We are a lot more to be done but we would like to say a huge thanks to current and past volunteers for their work within the school and the care they have shown for the kids.

Also, a huge thanks to GVI staff member Karla and our newest staff member and community leader in Chiriza, Tita. We could not accomplish what we have without them. Next to come, the construction of a kitchen so we can serve the children rice and beans each day.
