This project will help build business & design hub in rural areas to help grow & sustain the work done by rural women in hand crafts and particularly the heritage arts that are slowly dying due to lack of knowledge in modern usages of their art and how to bring that work to bigger local & international markets through better branding , packaging , pricing & costing thus inking them to bigger networks of marketeers & outlets. The hubs will also empower the youth in those communities.
Millions of women in rural areas are producers of heritage hand crafts of Egypt and yet they never manage to reach market bigger than their next door neighbor and sometimes are exploited by traders. Their income is not steady and there is no sustainability because of lack of ability to reach international and regional markets. They usually are not connected on the net and thus cannot be found by local consumers let along international ones. Thus the need for business hubs to represent them.
The building of a business hub that will be the focal point of contact for all business related to their products is ideal and will offer them a chance to have their products evaluated properly and sold in a more steady way. It will also offer local university graduates in all fields such as law, accounting, business, design & others the chance to offer to local producers the ability to have professional image and representation on all the buyers negotiation tables and thus give sustainability
If those business hubs will serve today 100 women and give them the bridge that can take them to bigger and sustainable markets then this will in the future impact the lives of millions of women all over Egypt. It will also give youth in those villages the ability to serve their communities and upscale their representation in world markets. BHubs will, once duplicated be the method whereby hidden artisans can be reached directly by all manufacturers and consumers not only in Egypt but worldwid
