Introduction
Women with disabilities often face unique challenges, including stigma, discrimination, limited access to resources, and marginalization in society. These barriers affect their education, employment, healthcare, and social participation. This report highlights efforts to support and empower women with disabilities, promoting their inclusion and equal opportunities.
Objectives
1. To improve access to resources and services for women with disabilities.
2. To promote economic empowerment through skill development and employment opportunities.
3. To advocate for their rights and foster societal inclusion.
4. To create safe spaces for social interaction and peer support.
Activities Conducted
1. Capacity-Building Workshops: Training sessions on entrepreneurial skills, digital literacy, and leadership were held to enhance self-reliance and confidence.
2. Access to Assistive Devices: Distribution of mobility aids, hearing aids, and other assistive tools to enhance independence.
3. Healthcare Support: Partnered with local healthcare providers to ensure women receive regular medical checkups and access to rehabilitation services.
4. Advocacy Campaigns: Community outreach programs to raise awareness about the rights and abilities of women with disabilities and challenge societal stigma.
