This past spring and summer, Youth Venture has significantly grown our licensing program. Youth Venture licenses our YV program and brand to a range of organizations – schools, universities, companies, civic organizations, religious organizations and others – for an annual license & membership fee, which provides a steady revenue stream to Youth Venture and an effective way to scale YV’s impact. After launching our licensing effort one year ago, YV has over a dozen paying licensees, plus several dozen in the pipeline. Licensees include a dozen United Ways, the global organization AFS, Seeds of Peace, retailers, universities, and others. Our aim is to reach 1,000 licenses globally, which collectively will launch 200,000 ventures per year (200 ventures per licensee), reaching 5% of the global youth population within 10 years, or 50 million young changemakers. We believe this will get us to the tipping point of society embracing and supporting everyone to be a changemaker.
