Due to your support, the result from our 2012 impact assessments survey revealed some encouraging outcomes. It is one of our main goals to improve the lives of our clients in a measurable way. For this purpose we conduct regular scientific surveys. This allows us measure our impact over time and is also tremendously helpful in improving our offering. The survey is based on the tools developed by the «Assessing the Impact of Microenterprise Services (AIMS)» project team and the «Small Enterprise Education and Promotion (SEEP)» Network (AIMS-SEEP tools). The initial survey already delivered promising results:
In addition to this statistical/quantitative method, we validate our work also with qualitative, anecdotal evidence.
The Sun Shade Foundation has demonstrated an enormous capacity to largely screen and select the economically active poor. These poor women have shown their readiness to work, pay back their loans and add to the productivity of the country - Ghana. They have also demonstrated that they can make a decent living for themselves and family if given the basic finance with flexible payment schedules, devoid of material/ and or monetary collaterals.
We also believe that we can better understand, represent, and address the rights, needs, and aspirations of the very poor people in our communities with your support. We can better encourage and enable the real participation of people living in real poverty, be more sustainable, and have greater impact.
Partnering with you on this project continues to enhance the achievement of a greater impact. With your continuous collaboration, we would be able to tackle and eradicate the root causes of school drop-outs, street children, arm robbery, drug peddling, among others.
