Sun Shade Foundation exists to empower the most vulnerable especially women and children economically through micro-enterprises, continuous training, clothing assistances so that they can in return help others.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Our clients largely make their living in the informal sector engaging in micro-enterprises such as baking, farming, petty trading -selling on table tops and floor mats without access to basic finance, training and self confidence. With financial support and training services from Sun Shade, they are able to increase their inventories and gain more confidence. With increase in profits as a result, they are then able to reinvest in their businesses and afford better nutritional foods, etc

How will this project solve this problem?

With a tailor-made continuous training and access to basic micro credit, Sun Shade Foundation believes that the poor when given access to resources devoid of monetary or material collaterals can reach their full potential. The Foundation has been working hard to transform the lives of the poor especially women in communities. Our cutting-edge programs and resources are helping hundreds of people (mostly women and children) improves their lives.

Potential Long Term Impact

Sun Shade Foundation does not only help the poor women in Ghana but also empower these women to sustain their climb out of the claws of poverty. The objective is to encourage economic growth and sustainability by sharing our knowledge and access to resources with these women.
