Support to people affected with COVID-19 in Uganda

Hundreds of thousands of people have been infected worldwide by the new corona-virus (Covid-19), and the virus is rapidly spreading, the disease will affect staff, partners and beneficiaries of our program. Even if the incidence stays low, the impact of a case is bigger than its occurrence as Eden Ministries Uganda we would like to support the families that have been affected by the COVID -19 with food relief, hand washing facilities , masks and sanitizers to stop the spread of the virus.

When the COVID -19 broke out in March 2020, Assumputa was among the many families that were seriously affected by corona virus as the son who used to support the family through riding a boda boda motorcycle was stopped from riding and thus no more food coming in the family. ''I and my children spent four days without food and remembers am meant to adhere to daily medicine (ARVs) but just taking water was too hard for me and my children, this was because of the total lock down and curfew.

This project will provide food nutrition, medicine and health care for starving children and mothers in the eastern part of Uganda near the border districts that have been greatly affected by COVID -19. the children and mother are affected as they need some attention.

Long-Term Impact

The project will sustain the lives of 4000 people the affected community as their lives will be improved.
