Support Tharaprkar Drought Hit Families

Association for Humanitarian Development decided to support 2000 families of Tharparkar district, the families hit by Drought and residing in remote area of Islamkot & Nagarparkar far and scattered areas the focus will be given to the farming families to plant forest and fruit trees and construct water reservoirs and Tankas for vegetable and crop cultivation. AHD has vision to bring sustainable change in quick time. Forestry and agricultural biodiversity is only solution for Thari communities

Drought hit consecutively after every 5 to 7 years & whole Tharparkar facing vulnerability and damages. Drought affected the life of human and about hundreds of animals and birds died since last many years. The effects of drought in these areas results migration of Thari community to parts of Sindh. Locals have seen the numbers of cattle, camels and peacocks whittled down during the drought.


AHD team will provide fruit & forest trees to 2,000 families affected by drought in recent years. AHD team will provide FRUIT & FOREST trees and also provide seed of local vegitables in Tharparkar to promote agriculturasl practices in DROUGHT victims in Tharaprkar

Long-Term Impact

Forest & Fruit tree plantation will promote environmental sustainability in Tharparkar & construction of water reservoirs and water tanks will help to plant or cultivate small scale vegetable for farmers of Drought hit area of Tharparkar. about 2,000 families and 16,000 individuals will get benefit of it
