Ms. Limian Huang, Great China Representative of RDNS Australia visited YNL facilities in Qingdao for a partnership project on nurse services at home. RDNS Australia is a leading nurse service provider with 130 years of home services at Australia. RDNS staff number around 1,600, with over 1,200 nurses and 120 other staff providing personal care, who each year travel in excess of 8 million kilometres to deliver professional nursing and healthcare to those who require it.
Xintu YNL team is planning to developing nurse services at home in Qingdao in partnership with RDNS. This is a trip of initial visit. Ms. Limian Huang visited local community hospitals, YNL daycare centers, and other health facilities. Major stakeholder sit down to make a plan for new services which will be provided by trained nurse. We expect from next year, YNL team in Qingdao, will not only provide peer and emotional support to your parents at home, but also social worker, nurse services to your parents at home.
Two social worker students joined Qingdao YNL Team recently and started social support work for Xintu health ambassadors. Both of them has been volunteers for YNL project for a while and understood Xintu' vision for active aging and happy to be a new member of Xintu family. Xintu provided orientative training for both new staffs. They will lead and manage about 20 health ambassadors to support 400 families in Cuihu Community.
YNL daycare services has been established in Cuihu Community two years ago. The team has been stronger for social workers involved and more and more local health ambassadors has been recruited and trained. They are primary important power to provide emotional and peer support to those families in need.
Qingdao YNL team in Lichuang District received a government grant to upgrade kitchen facilities as a community canteen for elderly. YNL team now is able to deliver food package to elderly at home on needs. There are about 20 regular visits per day for a launch and 20 hot foods can be delivered to the elderly home in need.
Until now, Qingdao YNL team recruited 80 local volunteers and supported 2000 families in Lichuang District of Qingdao. Their services has covered the fields of home visit, daily care, emotional support, peer support, food delivery, risk assessment etc. The YNL team received numbers of visits each month from government or NGO delegations. Xintu model of community service delivery has been approved to be a sucessful, through community facilities, clubs or self-interest groups, trained local volunteers as health ambassdors, and home visit.
With your support, Xintu will enter more communities not only in Qingdao, but also in Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing and Guangzhou. Xintu YNL team is going to look after your parents if more funding is raised and more township governement supported.
Xintu just open a new office in Guangzhou and explore opportunity to run age care facilities in Guangdong Provinces. Just recently, Dr. Fei Long was invited to visit Jiangmen City and met with Dr. Zhong for his ambitious of investment on age care facilities. It has good communication with local government officer and investors for the possibility of Xintu Guangzhou involvement. Dr. Fei Long also visit Jiangmen Health School to discuss the possibility of training on home care nurses in Guangdong Province. Xintu is keen to develop partnership with various stakeholders in Guangdong and help your parents living better in their own home with sufficient community support.
Xintu Age Care Team visited Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province for a Day Care Center space design and operation planning. This is a government owned facility for age care in Jiujiang- a beatiful city near Yangzhi River and Poyang Lake. This is a first time that Xintu age care team provide technical support for a government-own facility in Jiangxi Province.
Xintu age care team was invited to design the a daycare center and to develop a plan for its operation.Xintu age care team has five years experince on the daycare design and operation in Shanghai and Qingdao. Xintu has registered a new NGO in Qingdao called Yonglianlou Daycare Management Center which is only for the daycare center development and management nationwide.
Xintu is planning to take and manage more government-owned day care facilities nationwide and establishing a support network for your parents living at community in China.
