IICWIN is a nonprofit organization providing care and support for the vulnerable children and families in the more deprived areas of Oyo State, south-west Nigeria. This project is based in rural Igbo-Ora and Idere communities in Ibarapa Central LGA, Oyo State. Through support from Hopeworld Wide, over 8000 vulnerable children in over 2000 households have been identified in a community capacity-building project. The aspect of Kids' Club will be strengthened through the GlobalGiving project. Through psychosocial support in Kids' clubs it is believed that the children will overcome their isolation, gain confidence, life skills, talents spotting and enhancement and ability to socialize through play and interaction with other kids. As one of the strategies, training of teachers to give support and participate in Kids' club establishment and running will go a long way in ensuring effectively run clubs for the children within the community.

Working with the Local Education Authority, IICWIN trained 25 primary school teachers selected from the 7  rural communities of Igbo-Ora and Idere, Ibarapa Central LGA, Oyo State, Nigeria. The aim was to enable them gain knowledge and attitudes to recognize child vulnerability, identify vulnerable pupils in their schools and communities and give necessary support with other stakeholders. This training will enable them to organize and participate in kids' club running in their communities. The training was on: understanding of the characteristics of a child, child vulnerability, identifying and supporting a vulnerable children. The teachers showed eagerness and an understanding of the subject and made commitments to be child protectors and supporters in and out of their schools. It is expected that at least  2500 children will be directly impacted by this training.

This training will be followed up by recruitment from the teachers those who will start kids' clubs for the community children. The training will also be on-going as part of community capacity building for kids' formation and running.
