The project will improve access to basic education through logistical support to increase enrollment and retention of vulnerable girls missing out of schools in Tatale/ Sangule, Saboba, Zebzugu and Cherponi districts in the Northern Region of Ghana.
High illiteracy and poverty rate has confronted parents unable to provide logistical needs for Girl Child education in the Tatale/ Sangule, Saboba, Zebzugu and Cherponi districts in the Northern Region of Ghana. 80% of the girls who confront these problems halt the career at once and are forced to marriage at tender age. Tim Africa Aid Ghana will provide logistical needs for enrollment and retention of the vulnerable girls in school to reduce parent's burden
Organize an advocacy meeting for 40 stakeholders in the 4 districts to effectively respond to issues of girl child education. We will support 400 girls with school uniforms, bags, stationeries, footwear, health insurance, mosquito net, sanitary towels and stipend. Establish 4 girl child protection committees in the 4 districts to support Girl education and organize 4 sensitization meeting against early and force marriage of the young girls in the districts
The project will enroll and create retention for 400 girl child in school to allowing them to rise out of illiteracy, poverty and early and force marriage which will enhance their livelihood for sustainable development.
