150 Sexually Exploited Women in Nepal : (Organizational Activities)

  1. 1.     SPA Training for 25 women

Raksha Nepal has been conducted SPA training for 25 women. These women were from the massage parlor. Couple a month ago local administration has suddenly announced the compulsory registered their massage parlor and worker from the same massage parlor should be trained, after that women who are working in massage parlor couldn’t arrange training fee, at the same time Raksha Nepal support them SPA training from the well recognize training institute immediately, now they are working in their massage parlor with more skills.


  1. 2.     Tailoring Training for 15 women

Raksha Nepal has been conducted Advance tailoring training for those women who had already taken Basic level training. 15 women were trained by professional trainer in Raksha Nepal’s training hall. Raksha Nepal promotes them to professional tailor with small tailoring business. All women from dance and cabin restaurants they got the six months advance tailoring course from the organization. Raksha have plan to small fund support them to establish their own business.


  1. 3.     Driving training for 2 women

Raksha Nepal arranged driving training for 2 women from the dance bar and restaurants got the driving training and they applied for driving licenses for professional driver. Raksha aims establish them in driving profession as per their choice.   


  1. 4.     Beautician Training for 3 women

Raksha Nepal arranged beautician training for 3 women. They got the 5 month advance training from the organization, Raksha Nepal aims to establish them as a professional trainer. These women already taken basic level beautician training .They all were from dance restaurants.


  1. 5.     Radio Program “Voice of Raksha”

Raksha Nepal conducting Radio program” Voice of Raksha” in Radio city 98.8 fm in Kathmandu. This program is broadcasting every Sunday 6-7 pm and it’s also available live broadcasting in , this program has listening in 5 more district excluding Kathmandu valley. Sindhupalchwok, Dhading, Makwanpur, Kavre and Chitwan which are close district of Kathmandu valley.


  1. 6.     “Mission Occupy Baluwatar”   

In these days Nepal warm by the various demonstrate among these demonstrate “Mission Occupy Baluwatar” program has been continuing from a month. Occupy Baluwatar program is mission against all type of women violence. Raksha Nepal regularly supporting this mission through mass mobilization, staff mobilization for demonstrate, also Raksha support this mission through publish article in national daily news paper about women rights situation, giving interview in different radio and television about women violence. Raksha Nepal also mobilized victim women who are victimize by different violations.


  1. 7.     Building relationship with Media

Raksha Nepal also building a relationship and partnership with media.It’s providing the information and status of women of this “so called” entertainment sector. Raksha Provide them interview, article informally and formally, in this way, organization believes media can play the vital role on awareness and Advocacy.

  1. 8.     Raksha Nepal Made a Profile Documentary  

Raksha Nepal completed one half hour complete documentary, this documentary brings story of the organization how to organize this organization, step forward of the organization, current services, vision, mission, objectives and many more. 30 minutes long documentary also bring a massage of the target group of Raksha Nepal. Documentary also includes a Raksha’s whole structure like Raksha women school, Raksha Cooperative, Raksha Child Shelter and Raksha Polly Clinic.

  1. 9.     Raksha Shree Cooperative

Raksha Nepal’s cooperative Raksha Shree starting to work with new location in Samakhusi 29 kathmandu, before this cooperative worked from Kalanki Kathmandu. The cooperative covered whole target members from new location and organization hope cooperative will provide facilities to those women who are working in so called entertainment sector. Currently cooperative also revised new team of management as well staff.
