Latest Update from Agros' Nuevo Amanecer

Friends of Agros,

Thank you so much for your continued support of Agros villages like Nuevo Amanecer! Last quarter the villagers focused on ensuring food security by planting 33.5 acres of corn and 0.3 acres of beans using new, environmentally-friendly techniques.

Well, the harvest is in! From the 33.5 acres of corn harvested, the families had enough corn left over to sell in the market, providing a source of income for the families. The families were so encouraged by this success; they have also started a plantain growing project to further ensure food security for their village.

Read more about the community’s development in the attached Autumn update for the Agros village of Nuevo Amanecer. Or feel free to read it directly from our village page at This report measures the success and outcomes of a village's development looking at Community Organization, Land Ownership, Housing and Infrastructure, Community Education and Training, and Sustainable Economic Growth.

Please submit any feedback you might have and let us know if these reports are valuable, or what other kinds of information you might like to receive from us as relates to this project.

Enjoy, and mil gracias!
