Congratulations to Stella Amojong, Ashoka fellow and Program Coordinator of ATM, for being one of the people highlighted in the new book "Our Time is Now" produced by the International Youth Foundation.
"Our Time is Now: Young People Changing the World" is a book that highlights over thirty young people who are taking action to improve their communities.
Here is an excerpt from Stella's profile: Stella Amojong, Kenya Alarmed by rising rates of teenage pregnancy in the city of Eldoret where she lives, Stella, 29, founded the Advocates for Teenage Mothers Youth Group (ATM) in 2003. ATM works to enhance reproductive health education in schools, while advocating the importance of reproductive health education and promoting women’s rights to government officials, teachers, parents, and the public at large.
