We thank God for everything in our centre. The institution was closed on 19/3/2021 and children  were on holiday for seven weeks.Despite of the covid 19 challenges,  we resumed on 10/5/2021. Our children and the entire raise education center  appreciate our partners GlobalGiving and donors for their continous support in our school .* Fatma Hashim not her really name''I really thank the donors and GlobalGiving to ensure we are getting text books and food despite our poor standard of living, we get everything and am very sure  I will achieve my dreams of becoming a doctor through the support of GlobalGiving and our able donors and raise education centre".
The donations received were used to purchase textbooks, food and desks.Grade 3 did there CBC practical exams and theory to join grade 4 .All our pupils resumed  school  after the holiday break this is because of the school feeding program which the donors and GGsupport us .We received almost 50 new pupils
due to the feeding program.
Khamis Hassan,' I join the school because my neighbor is schooling here and he has give me alot of praise about this school that is why I joined including free food. In my  former school we were not given free food".
We have engaged both boys and girls(seperately)in guidance and counselling safe spaces  every Monday which are  conducted by our patrners St John Ambulance . The talks range from gender issues, sexual reproductive health and positve masculinty. Our students are keen in participating in sports activities and inter school debate challenges . In addition the school gave back to the community by participating in a sickle cell d campaign through raising funds in support of kids suffering from the illness
.
We have opened up for virtual volunteerism to sharpen our skills in fundraising ,finance and school management. Once again  a huge thank you to GG and our donors for supporting our children to excel in academics, be blessed all in abudance. !

Despite hard times of covid 19 pandemic raise education centre has finally opened its doors for fully learning in all classes as per the government directives from  4/1/2021 after staying home for a period of  nine months. We were engaging the pupils   with revision papers while at home and monitoring their progress closely hence they all resumed  to school. In addition, new pupils from Mombasa suburbs  are enrolling in our institution

" I thank raise organisation for taking care of our pupils during the long period when the institution were closed , some schools  though did not bother how there pupils are coping at home that is the main reason today I have accompanied these five single parent with there children so that they can enroll there vulnerable children for quality education  at raise education center. I was impressed by the dedication of the teachers to offer virtual classes despite of the economic challenges they faced. I also thank GlobalGiving and all the donors who stood with our children during this hard times, God bless you for the good work you are doing for our children" Mama Halima(not her real name)

We received 586 dollars last month and  we managed to buy food for our children and purchase additional  text books. We very much appreciate all donations in supporting   our  children to access quality education and  still we are humbly appealing for more support  in purchasing  more text books, running our feeding program and meeting some of our project operational cost. Thank you once again GG and our able donors for your generous contributions, we are very much open to host GG and any other donor to have a first hand experience of our work with Mombasa children.

Despite the covid19 challenges that we are currently facing raise education centre is trying to provide quality education to our vulnerable pupils .Currently the class 4 have resumed with classes as per the government directives and the school got a boost from a local corporate  Safaricom foundation  which donated  37 desks. The remote lessons are going on with more than 200 students benefiting on a weekly basis. This facilitates in enganging the students in education to avoid literacy level among them declining . 'I am very happy that my son is getting revision papers from the school every week. It is making him to be busy with class work at home and avoid idle time which could lead him to drug abuse here in Mombasa' Fatuma Mohammed(not her real name) a parent of class four pupil.

We thanks GG and individual donors for supporting us and we are still calling for additional support in ,masks, sanitizers , , computers, learning materials & operational support in offering remote lessons through revision papers , class four face to face  lessons and sustainability  to our feeding program.

Thank you and may God bless you all for your wavering support.
