Providing books, desks & food to 300 slums kids.

Raise education Centre is still going strong despite of the hard times of the economy in our country the school was closed on 21/4/2023 after doing the end term exams where by all our learners score good marks due to the feeding program which always bring a conducive learning environment for our learners thanks GlobalGiving and donors at large for their good work. The school was open for second term on 8/5/2023 our learners participated in drama festival up to the provisional level thanks GlobalGiving and donors for their support. This term we have music festival also our learners participated and athletics up to sub county level respectively we thank donors and GlobalGiving for their support in raise education which enabled them to achieve in the co-curricular activities. Grade 3 have started their practical exams for C.B.C Last week Monday on 5/6/2023 and it will last for 2 months .my name is Eugene " not her real name I really enjoyed my life in education in raise education Centre we normally have very balance diet feeding program which makes me perform in my exams compared to my former school I thank GlobalGiving and donors at large for taking care of us in terms of feeding program and also I want to thank the Raise education Centre management.my name is Raphael " not her real name My mother's friend and neighbor brought me here in raise education Centre after my mother passed away last month I didn't have any future for education since I was an orphan and even after my mother's death eating 3 days per meal was a dream, but right now in raise education Centre I really enjoyed good meals break time lunch time and in the evening and very balance diet despite of Being an orphan I really enjoyed life as if my parents are alive now I know I will achieve my dream of become a doctor thanks GlobalGiving and donors for your support at raise education Centre. “my name is Joseph not my real name " I was admitted in raise education last month in grade 4 I really appreciate the institution management and I thank GlobalGiving and donors for providing enough text books and enough desks to make the learners comfortable in class and perform exams compared to my former school where by we did not have desks we were sitting on the floor and also we did not have textbooks at all even for the teachers was a problem I also appreciate GlobalGiving and donors for providing feeding program which makes me come to school every day " we will have mid-term break on 27/6/2023 and we will resume back on 1/7/2023 we will have our end term exams on 2/8/2023 and close the school on 11/8/2023 we still need more support in terms of books and feeding program due to the increasing number of new admission In second term we received 30 new learners from the slum we also need support in assisting our pupils with pairs of school uniform one pair is 19 USD we need 460 pairs we also have a project of building permanent school and buying a land here is the link https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/gift-an-education-make-life-and-change-vulnerable/ . Raised education Centre continue to struggle with the heavy tides after the COVID 19 and bad times of economic the Centre was closed on  24/11/2022 for long holiday. Only grade 6 and 8 which were sitting for their national exams both K C.P.E and K.p.s.e.a they did their national exam on 30th November and they finished on 3rd December .the results for grade 6 were very good all the candidates were above meeting expectations they all performed in that exams we thanks the donors and GlobalGiving for their full support in terms of feeding program and good and conducive learning environment which enable the pupils to produce good marks.my name is Joseph " not her really name" initially I was in my former school where l was not enjoying the food and tea snacks during break time. Which makes me loose focus in education and I was not concentrating in education. I was failing completely in every because of my stomach was not taken care of. But since my neighbor introduce my mother to this school I was enrolled in grade 5. Sincerely since then I have been concentrating with my. My name is Moses " not her really name I was leading in k.c.p.e national exams in raise education Centre I really thank the donors and GlobalGiving for giving us enough food and a lot of resources during the exams period which makes me comfortable in class. I knew very well if I did not enrolled myself in raise education center I couldn't score this marks. Thanks donors and GlobalGiving for supporting our institution. I was kindly appealing to donors and GlobalGiving to support me while am joining high school .this is because I know my parents cannot afford the high school cost we appeal for donors to chip in so that we can continue with education.am not alone we are like 30 pupils whom need assistance to join high school. Otherwise if we will not get support my dream for becoming medical practitioner will evaporate. Me and my fellow classmates thanks donors and GlobalGiving. The school was open on 23/1/2023 after resuming back from long holidays .we have also enrolled new pupils around 40 up to date. We are expecting to run this term for 13 weeks whereby we are expecting to close on 22/4/203.we are also expecting to do 4 exams in this term. We are also prepare grade 6 and 8 for national exams .the premises where we run the organization is congested we need a big place. We still need more desks, food text books and operation cost. Raise education centre is going on well despite ups and downs of ensuring our vulnerable children get all they need in terms of basic needs and education. Last term the school was closed on 16/9/2022 with a population of 400 pupils we did our end term exams all our learners performed due to the ongoing feeding program we thank the donors and GlobalGiving for there continue support. My name is Fabian" not her real name" am very happy to be enrolled in raise education centre I enjoyed taking porridge and snacks at break time after class and also getting lunch with fruits and balance diet which make me study comfortable while my stomach is full and enable me to pass exams. I thank GlobalGiving and the donors at large for there support  of feeding program in raise education centre."my name is Gladys “not her real name in my former school we were not been taught like here in raise education centre most of the teachers were not concentrating with learners because of poor working conditions which makes me fail in my examsa.but in raise both the teachers and learners are been catered during break and lunch which makes learning conducive for both learners and teachers we thanks the donors and GlobalGiving for this great job they are doing .we still need more support for food, textbooks and operation cost especially the premises rent is a very big challenge for our organization. We opened the school on 26/9/2022 for third term and we will close on 25/11/2022 to pave way for national exams k.c.p.e for grade 8 and we will open again for first term on 23/1/2023 . grade 4and 5 they did agriculture practical in c.b.c the pictures are below grade 6 they did there national exams and all they perform above average we really appreciate the donors and GlobalGiving for there support. Raise education centre is gradually bouncing back from covid 19 pandemic challenges Last term the school was closed on 4/3/2022 with a population of 380 pupils.all the pupils from pp1 to grade 7 score above average.we really thank the donors at large and GlobalGiving for their efforts to ensure our children get food throughout, through the feeding program.which makes them Concentrate in class and through that they got good results."my name is Mary wakesho"not her really name" am very happy to join raise education centre where by is very different from my former school where I was, we were not given neither  food nor porridge, but here in raise we are given porridge during break time and snacks and lunch. We eat variety of food, which has make me very healthy and concentrate with my education .l was number 1 in our class last exams.i thank GlobalGiving and the donors for their full support"we open the school on 25/4/2022 and more than 55 New comers were admitted.
