Project Evaluation Report Latest update: June 30, 2009 Project Title : Learning Centre for Cogreg Village Children – Project 1703 Reported by : Calincing Love Rainbow Foundation – Indonesia Summary Since our latest update report on last March 2009, we were still continuing the program with children in Cogreg village. In this month, June, children are in holiday school season. Our main activity is playing in small group, learning something useful to fill out the holiday and working together to clean our neighbor.
We received the latest donation from Global Giving is in February 2009. Your donations are very important for us to continue our free educational program in Cogreg village. Below is the detail of program that we have been implemented during March – June 2009. Now we need more funds from you to continue the program. Please support us so we can help more than 40 children and young people to do learning activities. Thank you very much for your support. Extracuricular lesson for children This program is for giving more knowledge through additional lessons for students who will do the final examination in last semester so they can more ready to do the final examination and hope they can pass the exam and then continue to the next level. This extracurricular lesson was followed by 20 students in Elementary School and 40 students in Junior High School. They were implementing the program in their classroom after the school time over. The trainer who hired is from professional course. This program is base on their needed as the preparation for their final examination in last May 2009. Twenty children of the Elementary School level 6 will do the examination for continuing to the Junior High School and forty children of the Junior High School level 3 will do the exam for continuing in the next level, High School.
This program implemented start from 2 PM – 4 PM for the Elementary and 2 PM – 8 PM for Junior High School student. In this program they got additional lessons such as, mathematic, natural science, social science and English. Playing in small group The games are: puzzle, football and coloring pictures. The games are followed by 20 children age 6 – 12 years old. Working Together Cleaning up the ditch In this activity, 10 children were working together cleaning up environment around their house, small ditches, garbage can and cleaning the street after flood in their village a few months ago.
Children look happy with this activity because they can play and work in the same time with friends, after work they can breakfast together. They have cleaned their houses, small ditches and street at their own village.
