EVALUATION REPORT The educational program for children has been implemented by using the first donation from GlobalGiving donor that we received on last 18 October 2007. The project name is “Learning Center for Cogreg Village Children” with ID project 1703.
The project was implemented in three activities, as follow: 1. Learn to read Bible (Christian’s kids) 2. Learn to read Al Quran (Moslem’s kids) 3. Provide toys and games for children
ACTIVITY 1. Learn to read Bible (for Christian’s kids) a. Description: This activity is inviting children to start reading the Bible so they understand about the content and can apply good behavior for their life b. Benefit: i. Children can read the Bible more smoothly and they understand about content of the Bible ii. Children having better behavior iii. Children more respect to parent and other people c. Action: i. Provided a room for study ii. Provided Bibles iii. Provided stationeries iv. Provided trainer for weekly lesson v. Children read the Bible and singing vi. Praying together vii. Short discussion d. Date and location: This activity was implemented in Cogreg village at the trainer’s house. This activity started on November 9, 2007 and doing every Friday afternoon at 05.00 pm e. Participant: 20 children age 6 – 10 years old
2. Learn to read Al Quran (for Moslem’s kids) a. Description: This activity is inviting children to start reading the Al Quran so they understand about the content and can apply good behavior for their life b. Benefit: i. Children can read the Al Quran more smoothly and they understand about content of the Al Quran ii. Children having better behavior iii. Children more respect to parent and other people c. Action: i. Provided a room for study ii. Provided guidance book in Arabian language iii. Provided stationeries iv. Provided trainer for weekly lesson v. Children read the guidance book and the Al Quran vi. Praying together vii. Short discussion d. Date and location: This activity was implemented in Cogreg village at the trainer’s house. This activity started on November 6, 2007 and doing every Tuesday afternoon at 02.30 pm e. Participant: 10 children age 6 – 10 years old
3. Provide toys and games for children a. Description: This activity is providing toys (such as balls, drawing books and puzzles) and arranging the games b. Benefit: i. Children getting happy time ii. Children can play together with friends iii. Invite children having togetherness iv. Train children doing sportive activities c. Action: i. Game: Moving balls (moving balls from basket to basket with running) ii. Game: Coloring pictures iii. Game: Arranging puzzles iv. Provided balls and basket v. Provided drawing books vi. Provided puzzles vii. Provided meals for lunch together after game over viii. Provided trophies for the winners d. Date and location: These activities were implemented in Cogreg and Ciseeng villages at the playground and classrooms on November 12, 2007. Started on 08.00 am until 01.00 pm e. Participants: 40 children age 4 – 6 years old
EXPENSE By implementing the three activities above, we have spent:
1. Equipment for trainings and games a. Bibles: 20 books x Rp 50.000 = Rp 1.000.000 b. Guidance books Arabian language = free c. Plastic balls: 2 boxes x Rp 25.000 = Rp 50.000 d. Crayons: 20 boxes x Rp 5.000 = Rp 100.000 e. Drawing books: 20 books x Rp 5.000 = Rp 100.000 f. Picture sheets: 20 sheets x Rp 500 = Rp 10.000 g. Puzzles: 20 puzzles x Rp 5.000 = Rp 100.000 h. Trophies: 2 sets x Rp 300.000 = Rp 600.000 2. Accommodation a. Rent room the Bible study: 2 months x Rp 500.000 = Rp 1.000.000 b. Rent room the Al Quran study: 2 x Rp 500.000 = Rp 1.000.000 c. Meals and additional nutrient for 20 kids (Bible study): 8 sessions x Rp 30.000 = Rp 240.000 d. Meals and additional nutrient for 10 kids (Al Quran study): 8 sessions x Rp 15.000 = Rp 120.000 e. Meals and additional nutrient for 40 kids (games): 40 kids x Rp 5.000 = Rp 200.000 f. Security during games: Rp 50.000 3. Transport a. Transport for children group: 2 groups x Rp 50.000 = Rp 100.000 4. Trainer fee a. Trainer fee for the Bible study: 2 months x Rp 200.000 = Rp 400.000 b. Trainer fee for the Al Quran study: 2 months x 200.000 = Rp 400.000 c. Judge for games: 4 persons x Rp 75.000 = Rp 300.000 d. Coordination fee: Rp 1.000.000
Total expenses: Rp 6.770.000 Fund received from GlobalGiving: Rp 6.463.057 Community contribution: Rp 306.943
NOTIFICATION 1. The program that is still running until late of December 2007 is the Bible and the Al Quran studies. These activities are being implementing by 30 children 2. Families and children who implemented the activities would like to say thank you very much indeed to GlobalGiving donors for the donations 3.
