Majority of Nigerian families live on $26 or less a month. Due to high poverty, children from poor backgrounds do not have access to quality education. They attend schools that lack infrastructures like classrooms, library, technology, art and science labs. Our goal is to make sure that these schools become a more suitable learning environment with amenities that will support their education. We will deliver nutritious meals to these schools daily because no child should learn while hungry.
Nigeria public schools lack infrastructures. Parents of children attending these schools cannot afford to pay tuition, buy uniforms and shoes, buy books, buy book bags, and other school supplies for their children because they make less than 26 US dollars a month. The schools they attend have missing roofs or windows, broken chairs and tables, they use makeshift laboratories for science and art projects, and lack a library. The worst of it all is that some of these children go to school hungry.
Renovate structures, replace missing roofs, windows, replace blackboards, chairs, and tables in their classrooms. Provide children with uniforms, shoes, book bags and school supplies. Renovate libraries, science labs, and art labs in schools that lack these infrastructures. Stock library bookshelves with books. We will help these schools develop their Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and mathematics programs and make sure they have access to technology such as iPad and desktop computers.
We believe in a world in which every child have access to education. Our mission is to children from poor backgrounds an opportunity to get a quality education that will give them hope and future. Providing these children with a conducive learning environment motivate them to want to learn new things, make them more interested, develop their critical thinking, and make them a productive citizen when they grow up. We also plan to continue to supply these schools with nutritious meals.
