Uganda is lacking a modern cancer treatment center today and this calls for an urgent action for assistance. There is only one small unit at Mulago Hospital and it operates occasionally. Cancer is an acute problem in Uganda and affects the population as a whole.
This project will solve the problem in many ways: Will offer a cancer screening facility to the general public. Will provide counseling to cancer patients. will provide basic medical assistance to Patients Will provide balanced meals and nutrition to patients. Will provide guidelines for their basic activities.
The long term impact of this project is to save and preserve human life in Uganda. We know that that all nations need human capital as a foundation for development and no nation can grow when its people are sick and dying. For every 2 million Ugandans , there are about 75,000 cancer patients in Uganda to day and the crisis is growing. We are confident that our cancer center will change the trajectory.
