Ruth (33yrs) is person living with HIV in Lyantonde district. Her family is one of the households that benefited from the Support AIDS-Affected Households with Food project supported by Global giving.

The project is aimed at improving the livelyhoods of  HIV affected households by giving such households maize flour  in order to promote their  socio – economic wellbeing. Ruth like the other households received 25kgs of maize flour, in order to boost both their nutritional levels and that  of their children. Ruth is on ARVS for 6years  depite the  the death of her  husband  ruth is able to fend  for her children. she can't go without making reference of how much the 25kg supported children to move forward.

Earlier this year during a joint monitoring exercise with the sub county chief and other local leaders, Ruth said “Am very grateful to RACOBAO for this food, I can’t believe that it’s me together with my children whose life has improved and now we can  work and get what to eat, our quality of life has already improved.” “My children now have ample time to attend school".

we are grateful to Global giving for enhancing RACOBAO 's capacity to reach to such families
