PASADIT Organization is implementing a project which support 1,500 Orphan and vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS pandemic to access education which is the right of every child. With education these children will manage their lives and thus reduce the burden of dependency to the community as well as the nation. The funds will enable provision of school uniforms and school material, build the capacity of their caretakers to manage business which will enable families meet basic need.
HIV/AIDS pandemic has contributed to the increasing number of orphans and other vulnerable children. This situation has negatively impacted the orphans and Vulnerable Children in accessing their basic rights and services, including Education, Health Care, Support and Protection. Coupled with that, family break down and violence against children contributes to increased number of street children. Abuse, neglect, and Exploitation contributes to increased number of vulnerable children.
Through Most Vulnerable Children Committees, Orphans and Vulnerable Children will be selected and enrolled to schools and vocational trainings, therefore acquiring of knowledge will enable the Orphan to overcome social and economic problems they encounter and thus live a normal life just like other children who have parents. In this way the burden of caring of these children will be lessened.
Orphan and Vulnerable Children are under privileged when access school and get education will be capable of using skills to earn living.Vocational training will provide life skills to manage life on their own. Economic empowerment for Care Givers will enhance economic capacity of households to manage and meet basic needs hence reduce dependency.
