This proposed project is aiming at acquiring 10 acres of land that shall be used for agricultural practices and in this way shall help us to alleviate hunger and create self-sustainability at H4HU and the communities where it operates. We believe that if we can acquire this agricultural land, the project shall be able to grow enough food to feed children under its care, destitute widows and vulnerable elderly people who can't make it through the day.
Going by the United Nations SDGS, malnutrition among children remains a critical subject to be looked at in poor rural areas where poverty is the order of the day here in Uganda.
We believe that if we can acquire this agricultural land, the project shall be able to grow enough food to feed children under its care, destitute widows and vulnerable elderly people who can't make it through the day. The same agricultural production can still be taken to market in a way of making profits that shall be benefiting other day to day activities for the organization (H4HU) hence creating self-sustainability.
With this project established, not just alleviating hunger, fighting malnutrition, creating self-sustainability shall be proven but also more employment opportunities shall be created for farmers in our communities, skills development programs in the agricultural sector shall be put in place for skilling children at the center plus other people interested in farming around these communities as the way of making them love agriculture.
