Recent assistance given by Green Care Association (GCA) to some community water schemes has triggered many applications seeking support. The donations have been through Global Giving donors. The funds have been used to purchase building materials like sand, cement and stones to support community water projects. Thanks to our wonderful donors, the lives of many rural dwellers have been significantly improved and we are looking forward to many more such opportunities. It is for some of these reasons that one of the community leader of the Mbotong Water Scheme, Eric, told us during a meeting that ‘I very much cherish your organization and work and hereby wish you extend assistance to our community, we are desperate and need your assistance’. GCA always advice communities to plan well in advanced their projects while involving women and youths and keeping good records so as to guarantee sustainability. We remain grateful to Global Giving for motivating GCA and our communities through their donors.
