Study Aid for 20 Needy Students in Malaysia

In first quarter of 2022, 26 student candidates are enrolled in Persatuan Harapan Mulia’s Didik-Kasih EduCare program, with each underprivileged students being provided with start-up assistance and monthly study allowances for their tertiary education, while guidance were provided to them to organise a charity project to give back to the society. This report highlights the updates for each of the respective candidates assisted under the program during the period from January 2022 until March 2022. On behalf of all the students, we would like to extend our special thanks to all our donors such as yourselves, as your very support enable us to continue to run our program.

Being gifted with talents are something that one must nurture and grow! Zhi Ching is one of the recipient students for our Didik-Kasih EduCare Program, and she utilised the monthly allowance that she received from our program aid to purchase art equipment for her studies!

Meanwhile, Nurfarahana came from an urban poor family in KL. She is currently pursuing a skill-based certification studies in mechatronic at a local college. She is a very bright and ambitious person. She works hard in her studies and has earned a CGPA of 3.97 for her Diploma Studies. She has her future planned ahead and wants to pursue her dream in medical research at the University of Zurich, Germany, in the near future.

Having both Zhi Ching and Nurfarahana as a part of our Didik-Kasih EduCare program’s supported students is a great opportunity for us to walk hand-in-hand with them as they strive hard to chart a better future beginning with their tertiary education journey!

Persatuan Harapan Mulia's Didik-Kasih EduCare program is continuing on an ongoing basis to provide much-needed study aid to needy tertiary students in the quarter under review. In the fourth and final quarter of 2021, our program supported 23 candidates enrolled with the program, providing eacg if these underprivileged students with startup assistance and monthly study allowances for their tertiary education, while also mentoring them to participate in charity projects. This report highlights the candidates assisted by the program for the period from October 2021 until December 2021.

Our Didik-Kasih EduCare program continues to provide much needed study aid to underprivileged tertiary students during the difficult time, with the lockdown continues to remain in place in Malaysia in the quarter under review. In the third quarter of 2021, tthere are 25 candidates enrolled with the program, where we provided these needy students with startup assistance and monthly study allowances for their tertiary education, while also mentoring them to participate in charity projects. This report highlights the candidates assisted by the program for the period from July 2021 until September 2021.

With the recent disbursement of funds that we received from the Little by Little 2021 campaign, we are able to provide study aid for 12 months to 6 underprivileged students who are pursuing their tertiary studies. The students will receive monthly allowance throughout the period of assistance to cover their living expenses so that they can stay focus on their tertiary studies, which is especially crucial as most were affected by either the Covid-19 pandemic or economic uncertainties caused by the lockdown measures that were put in place in the country. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all donors whom supported us in our campaign, as well as to the team at GlobalGiving for running the Little by Little 2021 campaign!
