This program aims to improve case detection and reduce transmission of COVID19 within Syrian Refugees Camps in Iraq as apart of unifying the efforts with MoH in moving towards sufficient coverage and control. Viyan Organization and in-line with WHO Iraq country strategic plan will strengthen COVID19 surveillance and prevention at health facilities (PHC level) and community level through awareness campaigns and distribution of required PPEs.
The primary risk of transmission to Iraq comes from neighboring Iran, which has seen a dramatic escalation in infections in recent days. Iraq has issued an indefinite ban on travelers coming from Iran and other affected countries, but still security actors in KRI and despite their efforts in scaling up boarder controlling with Iran are warning of reports that some people are seeking to be smuggled across the border in order to avoid the two-week isolation period, towards nearby boarding areas

Conducting Awareness activities on Hand Hygiene and prevention practices 2. Procuring and distributing PPEs supply for both health facilities and community members 3. Training of healthcare workers on Infection and Prevention Control (IPC) for COVID19 (9).
