Stop bone deformity of a child by helping supply safe and clean water to a community struggling from drinking water with high fluoride contents. In this community water for domestic use has high fluoride contents, naturally occurring inorganic chemical whose consumption through water is dangerous for health. The brackish water consumed by hundreds of people in this community is reported to have caused physical deformities, including weakened bones which affected mainly legs and teeth.
The main challenge in the community is the lack of safe and clean water. The water available in the community is highly contaminated with high fluoride minerals which is very dangerous to the health of people in the community. People mostly children have developed bone deformity. Over 60% of the population in the community equivalent to 9000 to 10000 people have been affected psychologically and economically from lack of clean water.
Water is a must have necessity to human being. Without water human being cannot survive. Our project is to seek donations from anyone who's willing to help stop bone deformity to the people in Oldonyo Sambu Community. By helping purchase one filter, you are providing fluoride free water to a family of 5 - 10 people. Providing safe and clean water free from fluoride, will eliminate the danger of bone deformity and improves the health of people in the community for generations.
Children will no longer suffer from bone deformity. Women will no longer walk long distances searching for clean water. When people in the community live in assurance of safe and clean water free of fluoride contents, the way of their lives improve and live happily and healthy again. Poverty level will decline significantly because people in the community will have hope and engage themselves in more activities that are beneficial to the whole community.
