The key problem to address in this initiative is; "Poverty, Inequality, and Climate change" and the need to strengthen unemployed Youth especially Widows and refugees or displaced populations to meet the Trends of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), so as to work together and make a better future for Everyone. And making the trainees able to start and manage their own small businesses and applying entrepreneurial thinking to solve environmental and everyday Problems.
The number of unemployed Nigerians rose by 3.3 million to 20.9 million in the third quarter of 2018 (Q3'18), a report from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has shown, unemployed-nigerians-increase-by-3-3m-to-20-9m-nbs/ and high number of refugees currently living in the proposed project states due to conflict intensified in the North East, while conflict between herders and farmers in Nigeria's Middle Belt grew increasingly violent.
Start Small for Big Dream Project has a unique basic capacity building and training for self-employment, aims at making the trainees able to start and manage their own small businesses and applying entrepreneurial thinking to solve environmental and everyday problems.
The project will achieve the following results: (1). 1800 Youth of both genders will complete their skill training. (2). Training Center will be fully operational by restoring all necessary Tools, Equipment, and other materials and staff. (3). About 90% of total trainees will be engaged either in starting their own small businesses or get employed.
