The Tibayanihan Upcycling Project is an initiative with Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and the Department of Education that aims to help address the need for chairs in public schools in the Philippines, through the upcycling of empty BEAR BRAND Fortified* packs. Through this initiative, we not only help improve schooling conditions in the country, but also positively impact the environment. *BEAR BRAND Fortified products, BEAR BRAND Adult Plus, and BEAR BRAND Busog Lusog
According to the Department of Education, public schools are in need of chairs. In effect, students are not able to maximize their learning given the classroom conditions. This is why your help is needed in funding Tibay chairs to provide students with the best environment, conducive to learning.
Empty BEAR BRAND Fortified* packs from schools will be collected and will go through the process of upcycling (conversion of empty packs into school chairs coined as "Tibay chairs"). These upcycled chairs will be distributed to schools in need. With your contribution in helping subsidize the cost of upcycling, more schools will be endowed with chairs to provide better schooling conditions to public school students. *BEAR BRAND Fortified products, BEAR BRAND Adult Plus, and BEAR BRAND Busog Lusog
With the overall vision of improving school conditions in the Philippines, this effort will not be limited to the upcycling used packs into chairs, but will also improve other aspects in the long run to help make the school environment more conducive for learning. With sustained efforts, we hope to ignite communities to help each other in improving school conditions so that they may leave a positive impact on the quality of education, paving the way for a better future.
