Gift of Education for students of Pakistan

Education is a fundamental human right and widespread poverty in Pakistan has deprived thousands of children from this valuable gift. NUR Foundation has been actively involved in providing education to underprivileged children through formal as well as non-formal schools. The focus of this program has not only been on academic education but also on developing students’ mental and physical capacities.

For this reason, we organized funfairs for the students of Malikpur and Lakhodair  on November 19 and 26, 2011.Students were given an opportunity to show their talents in a variety of ways, they delivered speeches, sang songs, presented tableaus on national issues and performed different skits.

Similarly, a recreational trip to Sky Land Lahore was arranged on January 7, 2012 .A total of 1550 students were provided transport, food and tickets on discounted rates by the Nur Foundation. Students were extremely excited about this trip. Lunch was served at one o clock.This trip was not just arranged for recreational purposes, students learnt how to move about in a group as a team member, they learnt discipline and on top of it all, they got a chance to experience new things around them. This type of opportunity is not less than a blessing for those who can not afford.

It would not have been possible without the generous donations of our supporters. These schools have now been expanded and are catering to an increasing number of needy children. Thank you for giving the gift of Education to children who could only dream of being educated due to financial limitations.

EVENTS UPDATE- ADOPT A STUDENT

As the aim of this project is to provide not only the free education but also to improve quality and standard of education system in the targeted communities. By the Grace of God and with the help of our generous donors we are able to provide education to more than 1500 students per year in these targeted areas and now moving towards the next step of conducting workshops and training of the local teachers to cope with the challenges of new world.

In our Nainsukh Centre a teachers training workshop and language course was arranged in collaboration with Nur Foundation for ABNI teaching staff from July to September 2010. The aim of this training workshop was to enhance the language and teaching skills of the teachers. About 28 teachers from ABNI schools participated in this workshop. Duration of the course was 100 hours. The teachers will be provided certificates after successfully completing the workshop.

Certificate distribution Ceremony of Internship Program

ABNI in collaboration with Fatima Memorial Hospital offers an internship program in every summer since 1996 for the students of Elite school of Pakistan and abroad.

This year on 7^th August 2010 a beautiful ceremony was arranged on the occasion of closing internship program. About five hundred persons both from community and Elite School participated in this ceremony. Certificates of participation were distributed among 34 talented students of Lakkhu Dair centre on 9 August 2010 at Community Centre.

Eid Gifts distribution Ceremony

A simple gift distribution ceremony was held in all ABNI Educational Centers. Professor Shafqat Zaidi and Col. Manzoor distributed Eid Gifts and sweets among the students and teaching staff. About 54 teachers and students received these gifts.

Uniforms distribution Ceremony

Uniforms were distributed among the deserving students of all ABNI Educational Centers. Ch. M. Munir Finance Secretary of C.B.O distributed uniform among the deserving students of Lakhu Dair.
