There are thousands of abandoned dogs. The animals suffer from starvation, abuse, being hit by cars, and disease. The people suffer from the animals that roam in packs. Each unsterilized female dog and her offspring can produce 67,000 offspring in 6 years. Humanely spaying/neutering keeps the animals from suffering and from running in packs or being aggressive.

Spay/neuter of 2000 female dogs will potentially decrease the births of 134,000,000 puppies. (reference, Humane Society of the United States, PETA, and

Long-Term Impact

The long term effects are that no more puppies will be born to suffer on the streets of Romania from these 2000 female dogs. Approximately 2 million people will benefit from this action, when taking into account that 1 out of 30 dogs is aggressive
