Sound of Youth Scholarship Program has supported 200 young people who were affected by the devastating earthquakes that took place in the southeastern part of Turkey on February 6th, 2023. In cooperation with Spotify, TOG provided scholarships to university students affected by the earthquake by enabling them to continue their academic education. Now, the Sound of Youth Scholarship Program is looking for your support to reach more people.
The devastating earthquakes on the 6th of February 2023 heavily affected 11 provinces in the Eastern and Southeastern Regions of Turkey, where approximately 13,5 million people live. There are more than 630,000 students in the earthquake-affected region and half of whom were reported to not having access to their basic needs and therefore they cannot continue their education.
Young people need scholarships for their basic needs such as access to food, access to transportation and education, as well as for their social needs. Through the Sound of Youth Scholarship Program that is implemented in cooperation with Spotify, TOG provided scholarships to university students affected by the earthquake in order to support young people's access to their basic needs and help their wellbeing after such disaster.
The project will keep supporting young people by scaling up the reach through scholarships in order to help them continue their education and contribute to their well-being after such a devastating disaster.
