Providing a first reading and lighting experience for children in Kibera through the provision of 1500 solar lamps and establisment of a resource centre
Improve the health status, study opportunity and safety and reduce the use of open kerosene lamps by providing solar lamps to 1500 children in Kibera, Nairobi-Kenya
"Light up my Christmas" seeks to provide 1500 underpriviledged children of Kibera slums with their first real reading experience and sustain it through the provision of a sustainable resource center through providing books and solar lamps .
About 15000 underpriviledged African children and their famlies shall receive better education, develop a reading culture, reduce carbon emmissions, fuel expenses and improve their health.
