This project will improve the quality of life of children in Cameroon, by providing an Eco-Hand-washing Kit through our education activities related to hand hygiene in Schools, and support local service to reduce the cost of production of the Eco-Hand-washing Kit and facilitate the access of the hand washing facilities to least 1000 children 5 to 12 years in 20 schools in Yaounde, Cameroon. We are also using this avenue to teach and create behavioral change and literacy support for schools.
Hands are the main vectors of microbes that cause diseases, and hand contamination is responsible for many deadly infections in Cameroon. And washing hands with soap is one of the most effective and cost-effective ways to prevent diseases which responsible for the majority of deaths in Children. In addition, most schools lack constant water supply and hand-washing kit. In addition, proper hygiene education is a critical step against the problem of contamination infections in children at schools.
By simplifying access to our revolutionary innovation SOBUCHE through our education activities related to hand hygiene in Schools can reduce the rate of mortality from these diseases by almost 50 %. SOBUCHE is the most effective mobile solution against the problem of contamination infections. It is easily carried out and does not require clean water arrival and sewage disposal facilities. SOBUCHE is equipped with a support for the soap and paper dispenser to dry hands in a hygienic way.
