Southern Oregon Air Academy (SOAA) has secured an amazing building that we will begin using in 2020. The facility needs some updates and furnishings to be ready for students. This location will become the headquarters for SOAA and our partner organizations. The facility will allow us to greatly expand the reach of our current programs and add some new options in Fall 2020.
Josephine County is a rural area that is isolated from many opportunities and the area is economically disadvantaged. Students do not have access to programs that allow them to explore Aerospace Industry college & career options which would lead them to high wage, high demand jobs.
We have secured a 10,000 square foot building complex near the Grants Pass Airport. The new facility is on 20 acres of property. It has 15 residential rooms able to accommodate 22 individuals. It boasts a living room and dining room, 2 large classrooms, multiple offices and a kitchen complete with freezer and fridge. The hope is to significantly expand CTE/STEM programming for students.
Increase the number of students who pursue career or college opportunities around jobs related to the Aerospace Industry.
