We are a South Africa ( Eastern Cape: Mdantsane Township) based and legally registered Not -For-Profit skills development centre, focusing on helping Primary School learners and parents with after-school classes. Our mission is to advance academic excellence for semi-urban and rural, youth development through computer coding, mathematics, english and urban-organic garden classes from an early age so that they can gain confidence in pure maths, digital literacy skills and look after environment.
- Poor academic performance of Grade 5 - 12 learners attending 'no fee' public schools - No academic support and extra-mural activities for continuously disadvantaged learners hence our centre will provide both academic and non-academic support to learners - High rate of unEducated,Unskilled & UnEmployable parents due to being High School dropouts and now they struggle to fully participate into their children's education - No after-school , weekend and holiday activities to equip learners
- Fresh Hope : SEED Project will provide academic support to academically struggling learners and those who are academically gifted will be used as Learner Champions - While the learners are at school, our SEED centre will be utilized to teach and train illiterate parents numeracy and literacy, organic gardening and chicken growing skills so that they can be able to help their kids with homework.
- During the pilot phase, the project will help 200 learners and 100 parents by attending some of our programmes ( including cyber bulling and lifeskills) for FREE - Less learners will drop out at school and meaningful & trustful relationships will be built between parents and children - More families will be healthy as they will be thought on how grow their vegetables and chickens - Improvement in academic performance and better results for university entrance will be achieved by learners
