Case Study of Teacher of Sewing center

when I (Mrs. Haniffan)  was in school and specially when finished/passed out my matriculation exams I was decided to go more for further Higher Education  and will achieve a respected degree of masters, my ambition was to be a teacher, I was from poor family my father was not in position to support my schooling more, and due to some other concerns I was unable to continue my education, but my ambition was to educate the girls that can’t get education on their own resources or they have not access to schools or resources for better learning. When I was get married in this most backward area kali Mori so that was my second less-luck as well as a new opportunity of educating the girls on any way they need education of sewing and handicraft, here the education scenario was near zero specially in females. My spirit was still alive inside me to educate the children they have no/less resources access to education, but the concern was to establish a platform where I can get start, when Association for Humanitarian Development was conducting an assessment survey in our area of Kali Mori for Sewing Center and their female workers were filling out some forms, and getting information from  our backward area’s  women group including me then I feels and expressed my vision for Educate the female villager about the sewing, handicraft and Health Hygiene Conditions where I can serve as teacher  for the betterment and future of the young girls and female from my area kali Mori  as well as surroundings.

In order to cope up with this imbalance Social difference, AHD has started to establish Women Vocational

Centers by providing teachers and equipment at Kali Mori . This centers is providing skills of tailoring and embroidery to generate their own sources of income for betterment of their living standard. All the activity in this center is monitored frequently by the AHD Supervisor and Program Manager for smooth running of the centers. Due to concerted efforts of AHD more than One Hundred female has been trained from this Vocational Centre in different skills in the year 2012-2013. Now these females are working in their homes for various garments outlets and retail shops and giving financial support to their families.

Thanks to Association for Humanitarian Development, they establish the sewing center in which more than 100 female and young girls are learn sewing cutting and making of handicraft and they sell to market and earn good amount for their home.  Through this women are gaining self-reliance and self-confidence. With increasing self reliance of women who are becoming more confident and independent; they have successfully improved the quality of life and helped them to upgrade their skills. An indication of social change is the increasing number of income generating activities being controlled by women.
