This past May, SITAWI celebrated its fifth anniversary. We took advantage of this special moment to celebrate with our supporters and to introduce our new SITAWI office and team to them. At the event we also presented the social impact numbers we brought to fruition in recent years.
To date we have:
- Supported 13 social organizations
- Provided R$1.8 million in social loans
- Allocated R$2.8 million to the social sector
- Managed R$2.5 million in social asset funds
- Helped more than 24,000 people
Thank you for helping us reach this milestone and we look forward to your support over the next 5 years!
New Social Loan
Pipa Social is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 in Rio de Janeiro that provides opportunities for talented artisans from the city’s favelas to make creative products and clothing.
In addition, Pipa coordinates training courses for artisans seeking to professionalize, brings information about the fashion market and how to work in it into local communities, and strengthens cooperatives and associations in favelas, all with the goal to generate jobs and income.
