March 2013 News & Updates
This month, the Kibera School for Girls gave a stunning performance at Kenya's National Drama Festival in our local county competition! We sent two groups to compete at the county level, and next year we hope to compete at the national level. We're proud to share with you this video of 4th grade student Eunice Akoth performing the poem 'My Dream.'

We are extremely grateful that the Kenyan presidential election on March 4th was a largely peaceful event. Our programs were closed for the week, but we have since re-opened and all of the programs are back to their everday buzz! To keep up with news about elections, and the latest stories, follow the Shining Hope for Communities newspaper, The Ghetto Mirror, through their facebook page.

Thank you for your continued support!
