Summer State Games were held in Newberg, Oregon July 13th and 14th and what a great weekend it was! Nearly 1,600 atheltes competed in track & field, golf, bocce, and softball. Although not everyone can win the gold, the consensus is that everyone had a great time trying!
We also had over 1,300 volunteers helping us with the heavy lifting, hydrating, cheering, and even a little dancing.
A huge THANK YOU to all who supported this event and other Special Olympics Oregon events throughout the year. To date, we have raised over $6,000 through Global Giving. Your support means so much to our many athletes that practice year round.
