The project aims to reach out to 100,000 women and girls already identified in six geopolitical zones in Nigeria through an ongoing project to promote equal education opportunities for women and girls. Your support will contribute to the sustainability of the project and help the vulnerable women and girls remain in school.
Women and girls make up more than half of the Nigerian population of about 200 million people yet they lack so many opportunities and access to education , which makes them more vulnerable and marginalized. GESA is currently implementing a UN project to mainstreamed one hundred thousand women and girls including boys to school in Six states. these women need your support to remain in school and to graduate. Thereby ensuring the sustainability of the project.
This project will help to support the learners in school by catering for their basic needs , which include instructional materials/PRIMERS, subsistence allowances and in some cases providing food for them. A survey carried out in the six states shows that women and girls drop out of school and never graduate due to lack of adequate support. we are here to bridge the gap and with your support . we will impact the vulnerable women and girls in Nigeria.
The learners will become graduate, the rate of school dropout will become minimal , break the cycle of poverty and reduce their vulnerability. they will be further informed on their sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) on how to build their lives raise decent children and add value to the society.
