Our best girl in the district exams
It is another time that we are approaching the end of the year. This is the time we normally have our primary national exams that will see our pupils join high school next year. We have 17 pupils who have just finished their primary national examination and they are looking forward to joining high school in January.
We have had very hardworking students in this class, in our distict exams our school was position 5 out of 125 schools, and we prodused the best girl in the district. We had two students who were the best in two subjects, kiswahili and mathematics. Our mathematics and kiswahili teachers were the best in the district.
What we can say is that we have achieved all these because of you, you have played a big part in enabling our students to work hard and to come to school regularly. You have made sure that they are not learning on an empty stomach but they are fed. They never stay at home because of lack of school uniform nor books, they are always in school. Our teachers have been motivated and they have worked hard to make sure that our students are perfoming, and all these is because of your sacrifices and commitment in making a difference in lives. We lack words to express our joy and happiness as we see the changes that are in our children lives and community.
As we understand only 10% of all the children who 235,570 have the opportunity to join high school but the rest never get this opportunity. This is due to the high level of poverty in our community and the recent research indicated that western province has the highest level of HIV/AIDS and rape cases, hence many children are left with no parents or one parent who is sick. This leaves many children in poverty and with no chances of proceeding with their education to high school. Last year we had 17 children who did their national exams and they have joined high school. This year we have 17 students who have just finished thier exams and they have to join high school next year. In total we will have 34 pupils in high school and it is in this regard that we are writing to you again, to request your support through sharing with friends, family organisations and churches to donate towards this project to enable us pay fees for these pupils.
Paying their fees will enable them to stay in school and have an opportunity in proceeding with their education. We are looking forward to a changed community after their education. We are proud of you and the children know your names and they appreciate all the support. Nothing is taken for granted, children know they are supported and they work hard in their education.
Once again thank you and lets expand our support family to enable these students to proceed with their education. Thank you
