Namusia Rural Welfare Programme plans to provide over 260 (Two hundred and sixty) students with free education who come from the poorest families in western Kenya . This will include the provision of meals , stationery ,textbooks, school uniforms and boarding facilities .
Due to persistent drought has been for years, this has caused unnecessary sufferings of the poor families living in rural areas who depend on the cultivating on small piece of land. Over 1000 children living in the rural areas are at risk of not being able to get the chance to get access to quality education and clean water. Now at Namusia Rural Welfare Programme, we come in and see if we can do it for these children to continue with their education regardless of their families background.
Namusia Rural Welfare Programme provides education, nutrition and accommodation for the children from these poor families. These assist young girls from getting married off at early age and young boys to look after cattle.
The project will be able to offer education to both young women and men from rural areas to rise out of poverty. They will be able to improve standard of living of their lives and community at large.
