Motivate young people in Mexico with a high degree of vulnerability to experience a form of self-employment that proves that they are their own skills and a project to try, enough elements that could greatly improve their living conditions no matter they have not finished their studies, whether single mothers or young people who do not work, for people who are eager to learn and get ahead... It's always possible!
In Mexico alone, 14 out of every 100 children who have the privilege of studying arrive at the university and of these 14 only 93% (1.2) terminates it. The number of young people who do not study or work reaches 20 million young people. Lack of studies, lack of concern to form a stable future, and the urgency of obtaining monetary resources that make them feel "membership" in a social group are factors that shore these young people to leave school or engage in criminal activities.
To offer workshops of arts and sustainable crafts contributes to that our seekers have the opportunity to generate their own income and to develop a form of self-employment. The locally-produced development allows the community to have higher incomes and young people who are concerned with productive activities, reducing risk rates in vulnerable areas.
More than 50 families benefited directly for this Christmas.
