Childrens' Hope Initiative will provide 250 underprivileged children from poorest slum communities who are struggling to survive. Our goal is to educate these children living without basic amenities and providing a nutritious meal daily. School children receive bursaries including fees, bags, books, shoes and other school materials to access education and to improve school performance
Children in rural Sierra Leone are worth more working in the fields or helping in the home than being educated and so many are missing out on education. Those in education in rural communities find that the education is so poor they never finish even primary school due to falling behind so much from poor teaching methods and lack of education and school supports. We want to provide bursary and educational materials to needy 250 children to access basic education.
Childrens' Hope Initiatives provides the best education by working closely with communities and providing bursaries and educational support. We team our education with providing such support to alleviate poverty and illiteracy rate. By working closely with the community we also provide sustainable programmes which offer support to the family, as a whole, empowering them to bring themselves out of poverty.
We are creating a 15-year plan to empower a community to bring itself out of poverty through education and nutrition using sustainable methods. We have been working closely with 32 communities for three years and have educated over 300 children, opening up better job opportunities for each one and breaking the cycle of poverty.
