Challenge

The Kenya Kesho Trust school is in an extremely poor area of Kenya. Children have no shoes and their education is in constant jeopardy. Out school is free. School uniforms give the girls a sense of belonging when so many have tattered clothing. At present the children come to school with torn clothes.A set of 5 uniforms would ensure that they had a clean dress for everyday of the week.

Solution

A uniform will give each girl a sense of pride and belonging to the Kenya Kesho School for Girls - as part of the Kenya Kesho Trust.

Long-Term Impact

Although uniforms are but a small start. They ensure that when a student is in her uniform it will identify her as being at school and the school to which she belongs. The quality of the schooling we plan to give, will be enhanced by the uniform identifying with the Kenya Kesho School for Girls.
