We thank all our well wishers and supporters for their generous help in taking forward our mission to help the underpriveleged youth to realize their potential, and empower the illiterate to improve their standard of living.
Please read below a brief report of our RN Virmani scholarship program for the year 2006.

Report for the year 2006
The Dhanpatmal Virmani Education Trust started the R. N. Virmani Endowment in the year 2002. The purpose of scheme was to award scholarships to Indian Nationals for graduate studies in all fields, irrespective of caste, creed or community and to encourage meritorious and needy students to pursue higher studies. Those who come from a family with an annual income of less than Ps. 1,00,000/- US $ 2,200, are amongst the top five in the final class XII Board Examination and get admission into any professional or technical college are eligible.
The scheme has been very successful with the formation of a permanent corpus. The original donation of $ 15,000/- was made by Dr. Renu Virmani Finn, daughter of Mr. R. N. Virmani, her family and friends. We have received a total of Rs. 30,00,000 US $ 66,500 so far as contributions upto 31/12/06, and have been invested in Govt. of India Bonds. Our aim is now to build up a corpus of Ps. 1,00,00,000 US $ 2,00,000 so that more students can benefit form this scheme.
Until September 2006 the following students were covered by the scheme.

The following six more students were awarded a scholarship in October 2006.
1. Jogender Rana B. Tech., (Engineering) 2. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu B. Tech., (Engineering) 3. Siddhartha Kain B. Tech., (Engineering) 4. Vishwas Miglani B. Sc., (Hons) 5. Deepak Parashar Bio Tech., 6. Ankur Sharma Chartered Accountancy
During the financial year 2005-06 Ps. 78,000/- US $ 1,735 was paid out as scholarships. During the year 2006-07 we expect to disburse Rs. 2,00,000/- US $ 4,500 to benefit more students.
There has been a marked improvement in the students’ performance since the induction of the RNV scholarship program. Details of activities of the P. N. Virmani Memorial Endowment were put on the website of and we will try to keep this website updated.
Our mission is to work relentlessly towards the upliftment of the economically deprived sections of society by operating 2 schools, the Adult Education centers and awarding scholarships to meritous and needy students to pursue higher studies in colleges in India.
