DHANPATMAL VIRMANI EDUCATION TRUST & MANAGEMENT SOCIETY
R.N. VIRMANI MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT under the title “Providing Scholarship for Graduate Studies in India (Project No. 1066)”.
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION. THE COST OF EDUCATION BEING SO EXPENSIVE, MANY STUDENTS AND PARENTS HAVE TO TAKE OUT LOANS TO PAY FOR COLLEGE. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE A GREAT WAY TO COVER PART OF OR SOMETIMES EVEN ALL OF THE COST OF A COLLEGE EDUCATION.
“EDUCATION IS NOT PREPARATION FOR LIFE, EDUCATION IS LIFE ITSELF.”
The Virmani Trust started the R.N. Virmani Memorial Endowment in the year 2002-2003, to award scholarships to Indian Nationals for graduate studies in all fields, irrespective of caste, creed or community. The main aim was to encourage and help the needy students from low income families to persue higher studies in Colleges/Universities in India.
The R.N. Virmani Scholarships have helped students from the disadvantaged section to become Doctors, Charted Accountants, Engineers And Advocates. The students have been able to achieve the highest levels in their field.
“THE VIRMANI TRUST IS WORKING FOR A LIFE OF DIGNITY & SELF RELIANCE FOR THE DISADVANTAGED”.
The Virmani Trust is a non- profit making organization, managing two schools, Women Literacy Centers and providing Scholarships to the needy meritorious students for their secure future. Preference is given to students getting admission in Professional/Technical Colleges i.e. Medical, Engineering/Technology and Management Institutions. Parents encourage students to get the scholarships and study for higher education.
CASE STUDY
Anurag
I am a student of B.tech 3rd Semester (Mechanical Engineering) of Gautam Buddha University. I am a keen observer to Engineering theories and its applications to Real Life World. I want to pursue my career in Research and to develop equipment’s for defence purposes.
I am having a CGPA of 8.15 in 2nd Semester and had scored 80.2% in 12th and 8.2 CGPA in 10th.
The Scholarship scheme has been very successfully implemented with the formation of a permanent corpus. We have received more than Rs.6 Million ($108,334) as contribution up 31.12.2014 which has been invested in Government of India Bonds and Banks. From the interest accruing from this corpus, the scholarship amount is given to the awardees. Our aim is to increase this corpus to Rs. ($3,33,334) to enable us to award more scholarships.
Many Thanks
Anil Virmani
