The program for providing scholarships to meritous and needy students to encourage them to persue higher studies by reducing their financial burden is progressing well. Last year an amount of Rs.200000/- US$4878.00 was paid as scholarships to 17 studendents, studying Engineering and Accountancy. New admissions take place in August and this year we propose to pay out Rs.300000/- US$7317.00 as scholarships to 21 students. Photographs of 2 scholarship awardees are attached. Raj Kumar comes from an extremely poor family. He passed out of school in 2001 securing 98%. He has completed his B Com(Hons) and is pursuing his Chartered Accountancy course. M/sD.P.Khosla & Co. under whom he is doing his articles have given him an excellent report.He has passed his CA PE II group II with 67.33% in Cost Accounting, with 76% in Financial management and 67% in Infirmation Technology. He is now in his final year. Ashok Kumar's father is a constable in the Delhi police, his mother expired a few years back, he has three brothers who are studying. He passed out of school in 2004-05 and joined Punjab University for his BE(Electronics & Communications) and is doing well in his studies.He is also active in cultural and sports activities.
